Emmanuel College Warrnambool took to social media and posted on their Facebook page regarding their new waste & recycling bins that we provided prior to the start of term four.
See write up below!
On of the guiding principles of Catholic Social Justice teaching is care for our common home. As temporary caretakers of our Earth it is our responsibility to make a difference and one of the simplest ways to do this is in reducing and recycling our waste.
As students return gradually to Emmanuel College this week they will see a very welcome addition to the school grounds – new bins. With lids of green for FOGO, yellow for recycling, red for rubbish and purple for glass, we know that our students will act responsibly by disposing of their waste into the correct bin.
We appreciate Jason Beveridge from Danihers for researching and sourcing the much improved system. With the new company and waste removal contract we are assured our trash is no longer headed to landfill, which is a win for our planet.
